One door closes, another opens.

Unfortunately, Grounds coffeehouse in Cary decided to close in order to concentrate on their catering side.  Should you need a mobile coffee cart, they are available, and are still carrying Phantom FUEL when the gig could benefit from some awesome granola bars.

On the heels of this closing, we received a message from NOFO in Raleigh.  They are a fabulous cafe and local marketplace just off of Glenwood.  We are delighted to announce that Five Points now has a spot to get FUELed, and we are back up to 10 retail spots for our little powerhouse products.

It’s a natural pairing, right?

Cafe de los Muertos…and…The Phantom Baker.

Dead…and…not really sure what it is…

Somehow it works.  So well, in fact, that the first basket of Phantom FUEL sold out within a week.  Before it was even posted here, they were gone!  So, now you have to wait another day until they can be restocked, but fear not…it will happen!!

Until they’re gone again…

Attention Runners!!!

Phantom FUEL is now available at two triangle Fleet Feet Sports stores.  See the Retail page for more info.

Training or racing; FUEL up before or reFUEL after…there’s plenty of protein and fiber to keep you on your game.

Go get FUELed!!!

And……we’re off!

This week marks the first wholesale sales for Phantom FUEL.  You can now purchase The Phantom’s Favorite, The Archer’s Almond Bar, and The Sergeant’s Seed Bar at two stores in the triangle area of North Carolina.

Bull Street Gourmet & Market in Durham and Foster’s Market in Chapel Hill.

Go get FUELed!!!

PS: We’re working on an online store to make mail-order a lot easier.  Hopefully that’ll get rolled out next month…fingers crossed.

Amaze-bars!

Apparently, all the kids are saying ‘amazeballs’ now…I don’t quite know why, but I figured a play on words was in order.

Are you ready for this?  It’s really cool!  I put away some of the bars in October, to check their shelf stability.  I’ve always said they’re good for a month, but I wanted to see just how long they’d last.  I checked them in December…again in January.  Some things came up and I forgot about them until last week.  I took them out of their box and much to my amazement, they were all looking just fine.  So, I ate one.

Yes, folks, after 5 months these things are holding strong.  Well, the peanut, almond, and cashew-ginger versions are all still chewy and delicious…and I didn’t die :)

SO…what does this mean?  I get to edit my tips page!  Yep, that’s about all it means.  I’m retesting the seed bars, as I think 5 months is a bit past their prime.  I’ll keep you updated.

New Names

There’s a little thing called trademarks.  With that said, the Phantom’s friends have come to the rescue.  Introducing…the Archer, the Brewer, the Giant, and the Sergeant.  Well, we’ll introduce them to you later, but just know that they’re each taking on a flavor and making it their own!

Nutrition info is here!!

It took a long time to get to this point, but it was totally worth it.  Check out the new Nutrition tab on the menu to see just how awesome the almond bar is, and just how super the seed bar is…

And don’t forget to check out the market comparison page for a lot of fun facts about your *previously* favorite granola bars.  Then order some Phantom FUEL bars, and never look back!

Update

As we reach the end of October, the Mighty Milk bars are being tested on mom #3 and #4.  The Giant Ginger bars are receiving rave reviews.  The decision has been made to remove the wheat germ from the Super Seed and Mighty Milk bars, so that we can keep them wheat-free as well as nut-free (keep in mind this doesn’t necessarily mean gluten-free because we are not specifically using gluten-free oats and oat bran, which may contain gluten from how they are processed).  Now that all of the recipes have their final tweaks, we are getting the nutrition facts processed.  Onward and upward!
